Tied to a stake

Had a great day with the kids at Mugdock Country Park today and happened upon this wonderful medieval fete in the castle with archery, knights in armour, pipes and drums .. you know the deal.

No dancing bears chained up or hobbled goats in evidence, but there still seems to be a general acceptance that it's OK to tie these wonderful creatures to a post all day for us to stare at. I would have snapped the beautiful eagle, but he'd been put back in his little wooden box.
