Forest Of Birse

Off on a picnic today- belatedly for Amanda's birthday. We were supposed to go out for lunch, but felt the need to make the best of the fact that it wasn't raining. I don't think I've been to the Forest of Birse since before I had the kids.
Of course Wee Nelly fell head over heels into the river as soon as we arrived, but she is brave and only cried briefly! I took loads of pics (Blip has certainly got me using my camera more!) but ended up choosing this one. As Luke said there is something Famous Five about it- the end of a glorious day of romping, splashing, eating, exploring and Betty, Leo and Rory enjoying a toasted marshmallow around the Kelly Kettle!
