carnival day

Another glorious day today, perfect for Hinckley Carnival.
Massive turnout, bigger than I ever remembered in the 16 years that I`ve been here.
Numerous floats, walking groups and marching bands. The Hinckley Olympic torch bearers, Leicester/Nuneaton/Hinckley Scooter Club.....superb turnout of young and aged scooter fanatics. I think some of them where on the original Mod scene judging by the bikes, fantastic condition and quite a sound when all 45 of them started up to join the parade. Oh and the ubiquitous ice cream van..several of them actually.
Fun fair was held in the Council carpark, stalls galore....it`ll probably still be going on as I post....and more food tents than you could shake a stick at..
