Wide Awake

Evening all,

a combination of spasmodic coughing and a couple of whoops found me wandering the beach at Alnmouth at five thirty in the morning, hoping to catch a sunrise of some magnificence.

I didn't.

No surprise really, in the eight years that we've been dragging the Richardson family travelling care home up to Northumbria, i can only recollect two other times i've even managed to get up at that time, never mind get on the beach.

Two dog walkers drifting into the sunrise together, but a distance apart, as only couples who have been together a long time, can be, were the only other signs of life i encountered at that time of the morning...

i'd go back to bed, but i'm worried i'd miss something, so i'll try for a crafty bacon sandwich before they all awaken.
