Raby Castle

Mr.B and I decided to have a run out this afternoon and after much discussion Raby Castle was our choice of destination. We knew the Castle didn't open until 1.30pm so we weren't in any mad rush to get there. Unfortunately for me the clouds began to close in overhead as the afternoon progressed making any photographs I took look pretty dull and lifeless. Luckily I managed to take a few while there was still some sunshine and before we ventured indoors to look around the Castle. There were some fabulous paintings inside and the gardens were very pretty as well. We stopped off at Bailey's restaurant at The Honest Lawyer hotel for a late Sunday lunch which was delicious before we went home. All in all it's been a fairly cultured weekend.
