Delnashaugh
The Daffodil season never fails to amaze me. I tend to think of it as short splash of colour as you see so many of what I would call "standard" daffodils". Large yellow blooms with a large long trumpet. These I do not like, I think it is the way every village seems to think regimental rows at the side of the road is a good thing.
However when you start to consider the other varieties the season is quite long. Our season (well my blip of them) started on 28th Feb with a blip of a miniature and these rather strange double which have just opened will be the last, so that is at least 8 weeks. Delnashaugh is a recently introduced variety, coming from Holland
