Excitement in the village

We've been building up to this for a while and the crowds and noise did not disappoint.  After the sound of the helicopter approaching (which always makes me feel peculiarly emotional), this is the bit I find most exciting as the riders first come into view.  

So, having the Tour de Yorkshire sail right through the village today was a real treat and, unlike Bridlington the other day, I made a point of taking my face away from the camera and enjoying the ride.  

What a day!
