All together now

The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland meets in Edinburgh in May. The incoming Moderator has chosen "Word of Life" as its theme and has invited congregations to join in by being photographed holding the letters that make up the phrase. These will then be posted to the Kirk's website and social media feeds.

A big day for Cumbernauld Old today as our worship was led by a person preaching as 'sole nominee' for the vacant post of minister (our previous minister retired in 2015). After the service we then voted on whether or not this person should be our new minister. I took the opportunity to grab a few folk after the service and got the photo I wanted.

It's a "wrap" in terms of our participation in the "Word Of Life" project, joining all the other churches that have taken part. And, even better, following this morning's vote we should have a new minister joining us later in the summer.
