Tour de Yorkshire 2017!

What a fantastic day spent on Cote de Shibden Wall! The atmosphere was amazing, the crowds unbelievable and the determination of everyday cyclists having a go at scaling the beast that is the wall staggering...and all that was before the actual race arrived!! 

There was a break away of several riders, followed by their team cars and then the peloton arrived. Their speed was significantly reduced which allowed the crowds to enjoy the special moment for an excellent amount of time...and to cheer them on as they grimaced their way up The Wall. The team cars and motorbikes that followed acted to further highlight the difficulty of the hairpin bend - some really did struggle to make the turn!! Absolutely amazing to see. I definitely won't forget the day the Tour de Yorkshire came to The Wall, opposite my cottage! :-D

Oh and at 9pm the world will stop once more...Line of Duty finale!!
