Barnacles

We nipped down to the shore to pick some rocks and limpets with barnacles on them. I'm at a HE Recruitment fair tomorrow and last time took along some batnacles and a microscope. It'd great fun to hear the squeals when these seemingly lifeless bit of rock open up and extend their feeding net. Many of the S6 pupils have never seen this before and I think they won't look at a rocky shore the same way ever again. Let's see if we get the same reaction tomorrow.
