Minor Irritation

Ms Red-shouldered Hawk sat above the pond watching for any froggy 'missteps'. I watched her for quite a while and had to laugh as two BlueJays flew in for a snack at the feeder. They spotted the hawk and immediately flew into the tree to harass her. When the Jays finally decided, I guess, that it was a frog breakfast she was after and not much of a threat to them...off they flew. As I type this, Ms Hawk is still in the Winged Elm tree, still staring into the pond. She must be very fond of frog legs!
