The Haystoun Window
This morning at the Old Parish Church. Being the fifth Sunday of the month, no morning worship at Lyne and Manor, so a chance to go and hear my good friend Calum preach. Excellent occasion, and capped off by Sarah, the organist, playing a favourite - Bach's Prelude (without the Fugue) in C major, the first in the Acht Kleine Präludien und Fugen.
Noticed for the first time this window, the gift of the Hay family of Haystoun. Nice images of the lovely estate - with at the top left the burning bush emblem of the Church of Scotland, and on the right the three salmon of Peebles. The panel at the top contains the arms of the Hay family.
