Coffee out
Bah. Sore throat definitely getting worse. Revision plan though had to be made and once complete terrified me enough to immediately sit down, get my books out, order another couple and try to find the index cards - my new best revision friends. Then I decided that my desk was far too high for me to be able to concentrate so passed on instructions to W to remove 5cm from each leg. To indicate the urgency of this job I cleared the desk top then lay it on its side ready for surgery.
It was all completed with remarkable speed and efficiency (jobs NEVER normally get conceived and executed with such immediacy in our house where procrastination is the usual order of the day) and I'm now wishing I'd done it ages ago. Now though I have no more excuses to put off knuckling down to my revision any longer.
Later, we went round the charity shop trail in case any new books on photography had appeared since last week and then actually went to a cafe and BOUGHT a coffee. A rare event for me - as with sandwiches and water it pains me to pay someone else umpteen times as much for coffee if I can get more cheaply and often more tastily from home. Scrooge? Moi?!
Z had been feeling a bit down about life after some rather upsetting things had happened amongst her friends so she decided to get out of London and came down late to stay over. Back to work though tomorrow for her so I hope she manages to get a bit of R and R in the short time she's here.
