Grey day
The title only partly sums it up. It was a cold, wet, grey, miserable day. Just like any other day in the UK, except it was in Moscow and my sister was here on a flying twelve hour stopover.
Long range forecasts had indicated it was going to be warm and dry. Even yesterday it said the rains wouldn't start till two in the afternoon. Well no, it pretty much rained all day, from 5.30am when we picked her up until the end of the day.
Therefore our more extensive walk around Moscow was somewhat curtailed. We did manage, Alexander Gardens, red square, Gum, and St Basil's Cathedral from where this was taken. After that it was a metro trip to Eric The Red for lunch and a couple of beers, then another soggy walk, this along Old Arbat towards home where a warm cup of tea was just reward before heading off to Bolorusskaya station to put sis on the Aeroexpress back to the airport.
