Stripes in the landscape

As I was driving to fetch the Sunday paper, I noticed how fields were changing from solid colour to something a little more manufactured as farmers gather their harvest and start to prepare for the future. The landscape quilt turns from coloured blocks to the regularity of efficient tractor patterns.

This is the field outside our house. The grass has been cut and left to dry. Soon it will be bailed and shipped out. It is a clear sign that the seasons are turning. The weather forecast suggests autumn will be taking over next week if it hasn't done so already.

I'll try and capture the tractor next time and get some action to add interest.
