Rook look.

The appearance of rooks in our garden is a relatively new phenomenon. There is a rookery at the other side of the village and I can only assume that a) they have incredibly good eyesight and can see me putting food out from an incredible distance or b) they send a scout out to keep watch on my garden and as soon as I appear he calls to his friends. Either way they are a bit of a pest as they snaffle all the grub before the smaller (prettier) birds get a chance. I think this must either be a female or a younger male as some of them have incredibly thick and heavy looking beaks.
