I don't think....

That this will be a photo that her Grandy favourites.... but it made her very happy playing catch with monkey and she promised promised promised that Monkey was having a very fabulous time.

Yes, she is indeed in her pyjamas and ballet bootees. We'd had a gently busy day of homework, a movie, town jobs/library, scooting, laundry, playing, dancing.... a nap after she had a bit of a tantrum and fell asleep in a post-strop exhaustion.

When she woke up from her snooze, we unpacked her clarinet from school orchestra and she discovered that her upper B was coming out as a C# and I had absolutely no understanding of why. We sent our wonderwoman a video and she said we should bring it round when she got home. Katie carried on practising though she winced every time her pieces required the B.

We had bought a cheapy movie this morning which we watched. She had her tea and went on to do her piano practice. She worked super hard to fix a couple of problems in a piece she'd learnt this week and the look of delight on her face when she got it. She played it in its entirety perfectly, did the grand finish, jumped up with a wiggle & squealed "jelly fish arms yeahhh!"

We went to Bs, Katie cartwheeling the whole way, and she ran up to B, into the music room, span on the chair as she said "I fixed Allegro!!!" B put the clarinet together, fiddled with it and established the problem almost straight away. We were all very relieved it was easily solved, but she did say it was good I'd asked and she was pleased to be able to fix it.

Monkey-catching was all part of the glee at the extra visit to B, the fixed clarinet and general "I had a sleep" bouncyness. I got her home and snuggled her for bed. I asked her what her favourite bit of the day. She said "music. When we fixed my music".
