Double-booked

Last night I discovered that there was to be a 3-stage music festival in the area we were to be using for today's orienteering event. Thankfully it wasn't in the worst place for the courses - which had already been printed onto the maps. However, it did mean that we lost some late controls and had to move the finish [see extra, where the festival area is the hashed (appropriate!) out-of-bounds]. Since we'd had to get permission for the date, you'd have thoughtthat the Council would have told us about the festival!

Earlier I'd enjoyed watching Miss K's team win 4-1!

Tonight I'm seeing the jazz orchestra version of "Porgy and Bess".
