Anemone

This little rogue anemone, growing just outside the kitchen window, adds a splash of colour to the garden. The tulips and daffodils are withering gracefully and the weeds are thriving in this prolonged spell of dry but chilly weather.

The soil here is very sandy so we don't need to do any heavy digging and the weeds pop out with little or no effort .... it's just the bending that gets more difficult each year!
