More Spring Fever...

I was out the other evening and heard the distinctive American Toad Call. It is rather alarming when you hear it out of context and have no idea what it could be.  I saw one toad but knew I had to go back as there were likely more there.

In total, there were 11 toads...only one lonely guy who I have put in extras because he was so darn cute.  I love their eyes!  He tried joining the other duos but they completely ignored him.  I found it amazing to see all the black strings of eggs trailing the pairs.

On another note...where did our warm weather go???  Brrrrr  lol
