Which country am I in?!

We have had a lovely first week settling in to life in Adelaide. Week 1 at work was greatly improved by having a bank holiday on day 2, although it was Anzac Day, and lovely to be here to see the Australians honouring their Service personnel.

We have looked at a couple of rental properties this week but not seen anything we like yet.

Today started with going to look at some cars (big cars, with big engines) helped by the fact that fuel is so much cheaper over here. Not settled on anything yet, but think we have a better idea of what we want.

This afternoon we went to Hahndorf, a small town in the Adelaide hills which is the oldest German settlement in South Australia - hence the cuckoo clock! It was a nice wander, but strange to see tourist tat that we are much more used to seeing closer to home.

Suffice to say - a good first week 'down under'! Bonza!
