Hinze Dam

The lake behind this dam supplies most of the water for the Gold Coast. It has a very interesting stepped structure to the dam face which doesn't always have water spilling over it but because of the huge rainfall over the last month we were lucky enough to see the water coming over the spillway.
We walked up to the dam from our accommodation, and along the full length of it across the top. It was a lovely hot day - about 26 degrees.
