Kind gentleman
In more preparation for our moonwalk in 2 weeks time we've walked another 10.4 miles today.
We've been round Derwentwater. What a beautiful walk it was, peaceful and gorgeous scenery. We went off the track a couple of times to admire the view but we found our way back.
We were looking for the 'camel tree' that my walking partner can remember very clearly but not its exact location it was fun looking tho.
We didn't manage to keep the pace we set the other night but it was different terraine and more beautiful things to see. We did however miss some landmarks and carvings on our way but we were not walking back to see those, we'll come back another day.
Our friends the jelly babies kept us going along with our water and our new trainers purchased from 'chivers' the local sports shop. With specialised socks purchased too. We felt well equipped and fit for purpose.
At the end of the walk walking through keswick we met a gentleman with a dog we had seen him further back en route. He recognised us and congratulated us for our effort. We had a little chat and told him of our walk. The kind gentleman gave us a donation for our charity which is for breast cancer, he gave us all his change bless him, he said it wasn't much but to us was worth a million. Thank you kind gentleman.
