Glamis Castle

A beautiful sunny morning and blue skies, but it soon clouded over.  It's been warmer today :)

Up early and left the hotel and Stonehaven, heading south for a bit, dropped at Johnshaven and then a brilliant shop, Steptoe's Yard.  They had everything, mostly junk but I found a couple of things.  Headed to Glamis Castle before lunch.  Headed into Forfar for lunch and errands.  Made our way to the croft house rented for a week, near Edzell, at Calmeallie.  The views are stunning, looking down to North Esk river and the Hill of Wirren.  Walks around the hills tonight, but mostly be a quiet evening.

Glamis Castle was spectacular.  On arrival, we got a guided tour of the castle and rooms, with haunted stories and also royalty.  Shame indoors photography wasn't aloud.  Highly recommend if you are near by.  Nice to see the mountains with snow too :)
