TGIF!
One of my gents didn't arrive today because he is stuck in a Repsite bed with the Norovius! He went in fit and well 8 days ago so his wife could have a 4 night break enjoying bulb fields of Holland. The Care Home was struck with the bug, which he has picked up, and he can't come home until he's clear for 48 hours. Currently he is still ill. The wife is worried she will be charged the full rate (£900pw) even though he picked up the bug there!
The rest of us had a lovely day. We had a dance to some Abba tracks in the morning and then a few of the ladies made cards. After lunch we did a lot of singing and a bit more dancing and then played a throwing game.
For some reason, people think the elderly only like war songs like "It's a long way to Tipperary", "We'll meet again" and "There'll be blue skies over the White Cliffs of Dover" but most elderly people were children during the war and have little interest in such songs. Our current favourites are "Delilah" and "Hey Big Spender".
