The Beautiful Game is Back

Just as the Olympic/Paralympics draw to a close the junior football league started up today. I can't remember what I used to do on a Sunday before football (10 years on the touchlines and still a bit iffy about the technicalities of the offside rule).

It was a beautiful morning to watch the U14s (morning) and I'm about to run off to watch my older son in the U16s. I'll still be on the touchlines cheering them on in January wearing my thermals and wellies, windproof umbrella in hand... meanwhile I'll enjoy the sun whilst it lasts.

And, yes, they won 2-0!
