Amelanchier Obelisk

This very hardy shrub was a present to Cameraman from mum a good few birthdays ago. It flowers reliably every spring. I was worried last year as it was dug up and and moved in the great disruption. It thereafter looked very bedraggled and sad. However after a thorough pruning it seems to have come back to life and I'm really pleased as it does its thing with no attention from me.

We had a bit of welcome rain last night. The garden is just so dry. I sowed a few annual seeds before the rain came to fill in some if the gaps in the new beds. Well that's the idea anyway.
