The next morning

A pleasant drive through the Dales with narrow lanes and beautiful scenery, it felt sad to leave the horses of yesterday, we counted ten and wondered who cared for them.

We are now camped on a site near York with a good bus service into the city although it was a cold visit there this afternoon. We bought an M and S meal and wine for £10.00 which worked well on the small hob in the van, a first for us, we had to ask for help to understand how the meal package worked. A main, vegetable, pudding and bottle of wine. we had a simple fish dish in chiitzo sauce, Rosti potatoes, apple pie and an OK bottle of red. Overall we were impressed.

Of all the things I could tell you about York an M and S meal was the chosen topic. Hopefully we will find the city more inspiring tomorrow. (It was cold and wet).
