Day 2. Wellington to Hamilton

Another early start and long day of travel but some great sights along the way. We kept ahead of the bad weather all the way but it was touch and go as we skirted Lake Taupo, as you can see in the Blip.

Crossing the volcanic plateau was amazing - not only for the mountains but also the rugged desert like landscape.

We lunched in Taihape - the extra is Blipmate having a go at throwing the gumboot.
