This is What Ninety Looks Like

Legendary jazz, folk, and blues singer Barbara Dane, at our wonderful local Kuumbwa Jazz Center. She turns 90 this year. When we go out, I rarely make it past intermission, but damn, if she can do a second set, I can give it a try! What an amazing performance, from singing out for social justice to swinging with The Eggplant That Ate Chicago. Check out her story--she's an extraordinary musician, and still going strong, an inspiration, absolutely.
