We just have three of these very large alliums. The bulbs are a bit pricey!
A cool but sunny day and the hydrant is fixed, at least it doesn't leak. We are not using it until after the rain this weekend when the dirt will have compacted and then they are going to put in a concrete plate round the rod. It should be good  for as long as we will after all that!
