Day 37: Secret Bunker & Southend on Sea

Beautiful sunshine, therefore set off to spend the morning underground at the Kelvedon Hatch 'Secret' Nuclear Bunker. Brilliant audio guide - which described the various ways that we (the public) would die in the event of a nuclear war. Thanks. Continued on to Southend on Sea - longest pier in the world - and has a railway line on it - which, of course, had to be tried. Later, settled in to watch the sadly disappointing Doctor Who and the even worse F1 qualifying. Sigh.
