I must do. Ian Rankin says so. I tweeted getting through all 23 of the Rebus/Fox novels tagging the author and received a delightfully appropriate response.
A nice point in a frustrating day. We got the gas supply replaced but it couldn't be connected as there was an electrical charge on the pipes in the house.
We called an electrician out who installed an earth bond but that didn't fix it. It turned out there was no earth to our supply. After a bit of negotiating we have had someone out from the supplier who has managed to sort out a dodgy connection and we now have a safe electricity supply (without having to dig my drive and the garage floor up to put a new cable in). We still have no gas but they should be out later.
Mr EAnn has just headed out to hunt for fish and chips. Not sure how well a pint and a nip of whisky would go with that but at least we can make a cup of tea.
