Battered Iris

Seemed to have every type of weather yesterday - sun, sleet, hail - which always makes life more fun!  This was the state of the only Iris we have flowering this year so I think it had suffered a little

Todays' task has been to empty the small wildlife pond we have - we did get frogspawn earlier on in the year but it didn't survive - the local cats trying to drag it out didn't help! -  and the pond turned extremely smelly so have cleared out as much muck as I could, refilled it and added some new oxygenators that I picked up at the garden centre this morning so fingers crossed it can become a nice area again - and not one to be avoided because of the stench!!
