Where the Light Gets In

By DHThomas

All hail...

up in our garret
watching the rain pelting down
winter makes a stand

I was still glowing with the nice day I had on my birthday, all the more because I received belated wishes, as well as unbirthday wishes! :-)

Sharp temperature drop, grey skies and intermittent rain. Nicer weather is on the way, though, and should reach us at the weekend.

Still reading poetry. After reading Laura Kasischke's The Infinitesimals and Mark Nepo's Reduced To Joy again, I am starting on Sylvia Plath's Collected Poems, another re-read. First time was about two years ago. Next should be either Dylan Thomas or Emily Dickinson. Have to buy or borrow more of Mark Nepo's work. It speaks to me and I really thank Kendall for pointing his work to me. Laura Kasischke is supposed to have a new poetry collection out soon, too! And of course, if you happen to know of any other poets writing currently that you think is worth a read - in either English or French, as they are the only two languages in which I feel comfortable enough to read poetry - I'm all ears (well, eyes, in the present case...).

Edit: this seems to mark the completion of my fourth year of blipping... I didn't pay attention to that, so you only get an ordinary blip. ;-)
