If you can't beat them...

Fuschia.

A trip up to a Carlisle garden centre for two reasons.  The first being our usual regular visit, the second to return a piece of garden equipment which fell apart on its second use.   I have to admit that when I contacted head office they very quickly said take it back and get a credit note.  The girl on the desk admitted they had had a lot of trouble with the product and weren't using that maker any more.  So it wasn't just me being heavy handed.

While wandering round the centre I as usual took a number of photos.  This wasn't the garden centre that forbids photography because we might be competitors!  In this day and age of mobile phones I am not sure how they plan to police that.

This shot appealed to me.  It was one of a range of (I assume) semi hardy varieties.  The plant is named after Leonhary Fuchs a 16th Century German Botanist.  Fuschia as a colour was first used to name a dye in the mid 19th century, later renamed Magenta.
