fact and fiction

I've just read this for the first time for my book group. Not sure why I hadn't read it as I like other novels by Margaret Atwood. Anyway it's quite timely as there is a mini series about to be launched but also a timely reminder of the small gap between fact and fiction. Atwood didn't make any of the "things" done to women in the book up - they've all happened. Sadly in this day and age the dystopian vision she described doesn't seem that impossible
