The Pope is coming

The Pope is coming to Cairo on Friday, leaving Saturday and in his honour, streets are being cleared (potential bomb threats no doubt) and cleaned. Never before have I seen such cleanliness in my suburb.

The cars are being towed if they haven't been moved and in other ares in my suburb they're being double and triple parked.

And yes, he's staying near me in the Papal residence. I've no clue if people are excited or not. I guess I should try to read some local media.

And maybe I might see if I can catch a glimpse of him. It's quite an event.

I hope it all goes well. And, if nothing else, I'll feel the most secure I've ever felt in my life for never before have there been so many police and military in my local area..
