Our TV decided to not want to switch on a week ago so given it was well outside it's warranty, I called up a local independent repair man. He kindly loaned us a spare set (we only have one set connected to the outside world in the house) whilst sourcing a replacement circuit board. Today the TV came back, as a good as new. The repair man offered me the old circuit board, well it looked perfect for a blip so I couldn't say no! Added lighting from a coloured LED strip I'm experimenting with for some future light painting.
