Caphouse - National Coal Mining Museum England
TUESDAY
Did some site visits this morning (whilst my car was in for a service) and then headed over to Caphouse Colliery in Overton, Wakefield, where the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Officers was holding its Annual Members' Forum. As usual a there was a splendid lunch and the puddings just kept on appearing as fast as we could dispose of them.
Met up with lots of old friends and colleagues as well as gaining CPD points.
Caphouse Colliery re-opened in 988 as the Yorkshire Mining Museum and was granted national status in 1995.
