The A Team
After a bracing walk with M, we visited P's beautiful garden. This spring rockery combination looked stunning in a stone wall. I know the plant on the left is aubrieta and I've since discovered from friend J that the yellow one is Alyssum saxatile which was once very popular. I do remember my father using alyssum in his summer displays years ago, but that was white. This one has much more impact. While we were there a lovely speckled hen took great interest in us and seemed to pose (see extra photo) much to the disgust of the cockerel behind who is used to getting all the limelight!
Today: Ella Fitzgerald was born 100 years ago.
For the record: Max 9C, sunny spells and then... a sleet shower!
