ubi sunt qui ante nos in mundo fuerunt?

(From my old school song...where at Prizegiving members of staff processed with gowns and hoods while we sang "Gaudeamus Igitur".) 

Meaning:   "Where are those who were before us?"


Having spent the morning on duty at the John Buchan Centre, I'm now sitting looking at winter showers - heavy, and regular as clockwork!  


So, half-heartedly I'm looking through the family tree and wondering where to explore next.    I haven't found the cattle thieves yet......
