Spider Sentry

Everywhere I went this morning in Mum's garden I seemed to bump into a spider's web.

I spent a while photographing one reasonably large specimen in the middle of her web, before being distracted, and getting tangled in the web. I carefully transposed her to another web and the next thing we knew, this one appeared. Its body was about 2ins long and acted very aggressively to the intruder who rapidly scuttled away.
