Our Worcester Pearmain in all its glory

Yesterday I posted just a sprig of our old apple tree so today you're getting the full monty. It looks spectacular, taken from a viewpoint which will shortly not be available as this is at the far corner of where Susan's studio will be next month. This gives an impression fo the view you'll see from the studio windows.

The afternoon was spent laying a slab ready for the studio base, there's another one to lay at the other corner but before we do that we have to move some Lilies of the Valley from the edge of the concrete to a new position. These plants have grown inside the greenhouse, shaded by plants most of the year. We didn't put them there but we don't want to lose them. So after laying the first slab we're creating a bed this side of the greenhouse, where the grass is now. All the turf is off and a line of old bricks laid to create the edge of the bed. We'll do something similar the other side too.

I went to my last monitoring visit as a Governor this morning; wrote the last report. The number of meetings and commitments is counting down. Feels a bit like when I retired. It was a very pleasant report to write as the school is doing very well and should be at least "Good" when Ofsted come a-calling.
