Mono Monday...Stone

I've been waiting for this challenge...ever since a local developer deposited this stone/rock in front of his plaza. It sits in front of a store called Michaels...an arts and crafts (and hobbies) store. I'm going to guess that it is the biggest boulder in our city.

I stood by my truck, waiting for just the right crafter to come out of Michaels...someone who looks like they would know their way around a camera.

"Excuse me Ma'am, could you take my picture when I climb up to the top of that rock?"

"You want to do what?"

"I want to turn back the clock...and climb up that rock. I want to put these old bones...on the top of that stone. I want to use a few foot-holders...and scale that boulder."

"I will take the picture, but I want to go on record as saying that I think it is insane. I hate to say this...but I think you're a little too "mature" to do that."

"JUST TAKE THE PICTURE...CONNIE CRAFTER!"

I climbed (or more like shimmied), and she snapped. Blip done. Sometimes, I even amaze myself.

DISCLAIMER: Believe what you may...but the big rock/stone is there.
