Mono Monday - Dol Hareubang

I love rocks and pebbles and I always bring some home from our travels. Big pebbles from India can be very useful when making our own sauerkraut. Then they disappear and sit inside our two crocks for almost 6
months. :) there are many other pebbles sitting on our home altar and in our flower pots.

Dol Hareubang from Jeju Island is a bit different. It is a local grandfather cut out of a volcanic rock basalt. Dol means a rock in Korean. These statues are supposed to
protect its owners against demons and they are also cute, aren't they?
