Pheasant

L and I were looking for somewhere different for a walk today ... a search through my wallet of leaflets and pamphlets and we decided to visit the Dawck Botanic Gardens near Peebles.

This is a richly landscaped woodland garden which is host to one of Scotland's finest tree collections.  I spotted a hare and one or two pheasants wandering about in the grass.

A great morning for a walk .... sunshine and blue skies ..... not what we were expecting. Things changed on our journey home as the temperature dropped from 8C to 1C and then the hail storms started. By the time we got home the temp had risen again.
