If a picture paints a thousand words

This is one of the mediaeval paintings on the wall of Stratford's Guild Chapel which is being restored, having been buried under layers of Limewash in the days of Shakespeare's father in 1563 who , in his role as Borough Chamberlain was ordered to cover up the paintings. It seems that no one is quite certain why.
These paintings are of massive historical importance and work is ongoing to restore them. This one is called An Allegory of Death
