Pied-billed Grebe

So...I went out looking for Yellow-headed Blackbirds again today and this time I found them!  Unfortunately, I couldn't get any good shots because I was shooting into the sun.  Tomorrow I'm going back in the morning when the sun will be behind me.  Stay tuned...  In the meantime, though, I found this beautiful little grebe.  If I've ever seen one before, it wasn't at breeding time because I would have remembered his cute little bill.  During the rest of the year it is brownish, but in the spring it turns white with a black stripe.  I'll definitely recognize it without Merlin's help next time. :-)
