375th anniversary

Today was the 375th anniversary of Hull refusing entry to King Charles 1, widely thought to have triggered the civil war.
We went to see a treatment at the remains of Beverley gate in Hull. Sam and Will were allowed to hold a sword and hit a soldiers armour with it. They were also shown how the flint lock muskets were loaded. Todays blip shows William wearing one of the soldiers helmets. The picture of the sword in the extras is the best I could get of Sam hitting the soldiers chest plate because it was pretty cramped.
